Gitika’s passion for rehabilitation was inspired by her father’s motor vehicle accident in 2010, sparking her determination to help others regain function and independence. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Coaching, specializing in Kinesiology, and is certified as a personal trainer through BCRPA. Fluent in English, Punjabi, and Hindi, she connects with a diverse range of clients to better support their needs.
Currently pursuing her MSc in Physiotherapy, Gitika brings a wealth of experience, including her role as an athletic trainer for the men’s lacrosse team in BC, where she focused on rehabbing injuries, taping and conditioning players to ensure their peak performance. She is certified in kinesiology taping via Rocktape and possesses a soft tissue release Level 1 certification, further enhancing her ability to support clients with effective, evidence-based techniques for recovery and injury prevention.
Gitika emphasizes a patient-centred approach, focusing on functional training, postural awareness, and ergonomic health. She educates her clients on proper biomechanics to enhance performance, prevent injury, and promote long-term wellness. Her empathetic nature and evidence-based approach empower clients to achieve their health and fitness goals.
